IT´S ALL IN ME
MATEJA POTOČNIK. Exquisite vocal colour, superb technique and outstanding innate musicality. Even at this stage, she boasts an extensive repertoire with arias and lieder from all periods while her great acting skills and stage presence merely highlight her enormous potential.
Her language talent enables her to master the interpretation of arias and art songs in the German, Italian, Czech, French and Russian language.
I firmly believe Mateja has all the potential to become the leading soprano of her generation with a highly successful career in national and international opera houses.

Strong focus, perseverance, dedication to quality, drive and ambition coupled with innate musicality and sharp musical ear make Mateja Potočnik stand out from the rest.
I saw her as a student who was never satisfied, always striving for the highest of standards, thus outperforming most of her music colleagues. Ms. Potočnik has showed us her talent as a regular soloist at the Klagenfurt Cathedral, one of the highlights being Mendelssohn’s Psalm 95 and Dvořák’s Te Deum with which she performed alongside mezzosoprano Bernarda Fink and captivated the audience in October 2013.

Her expression is already immensely intimate, her phrasing flawless, her heights effortless. The appearance of Mateja Potočnik was definitely a highlight at the concert of the young soloists in the Klagenfurt concert hall. The soprano knew how to enchant the audience with two of the most beautiful arias in opera literature, namely Dvorak's “Lied an der Mond” from the opera “Rusalka” and Michaela's aria by Bizet “Carmen”.
